Flowers of Summer --

As summer is winding down - I had a chance to make a couple special birthday cards recently for a special aunt and cousin. I love how they turned out -- here they are! Below you will find the resources and links used for each. Almost all of the materials are StampinUp! You will see links sprinkled throughout. These will take you to you to my demonstrator at StampinUp! and - full disclosure - cousin. lol. She'll help you figure out exactly what you need and how to get started.

I LOVE the brightness of each card -- such vibrant colors. I have been playing and learning alcohol inks -- I love how they color, and the brightness of the image. I'm also getting used to using the color lifter pen to blend the colors and control the light and darkness of the color. The alcohol markers I used here were StampinUp Blends . You can find the Color Lifter here.

The backgrounds of each card are also fun! In the top card I used an old StampinUp product -- that I LOVE -- watercolor crayons. I love these things - unfortunately they don't sell them any longer - they do have watercolor pencils, though. I love them too! It's amazing what a little water and a crayon or marker will do (note: 'special' crayons/pencils). The background in the bottom card is done using an ink pad and sponge daubers and blending them.

The papers and ribbon I used in each card were things I had on hand.

And now - the main event -- the stamps! I love these 2 sets. AND -- each set also has die cuts to cut them out! Bonus! The set used in the top card is called Painted Poppies. In the second card - the set is called Bloom and Grow.

My crafting journey began with stamping and making cards. I still love it! I hope you enjoyed these projects. As always - let me know if you have any questions. Stop by any of my social media spots and say hi!

Thanks for stopping by the craft table!
