Upcycling a Tin Can into a Beautiful Wall Pocket

Hello, crafty friends! Today, I'm excited to share a new DIY project that adds a touch of charm to any space in your home. In this tutorial, I'll show you how to transform an ordinary tin can into a beautiful wall pocket that's perfect for holding florals or greenery - real or faux.

What You'll Need:

  • Tin can

  • Mod Podge

  • Decorative paper or napkins

  • Florals (real or faux)

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Prepare the Tin Can: Start by cleaning the tin can and removing any labels. You will also want to remove both lids/ends.

  2. Apply Mod Podge: Using a brush, apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the outside of the tin can.

  3. Attach Decorative Paper: Choose your favorite decorative paper or napkin and cut it to fit the size of the tin can. Press the paper onto the Mod Podge-coated surface and smooth out any air bubbles.

  4. Seal with Mod Podge: Once the paper is in place, apply another layer of Mod Podge over the top to seal and protect the paper.

  5. Let It Dry: Allow the Mod Podge to dry completely. This may take a few hours, so be patient!

  6. Add Florals: Once the Mod Podge is dry, you can fill your new wall pocket with florals or other decorative items of your choice.

  7. Hang It Up: Use a nail or hook to hang your wall pocket on the wall, and you're done!
