Create a Primitive Decor Shelf Sitter

Hey there, fellow crafters! Today, I'm excited to share with you a fun and easy DIY project that will add a touch of rustic charm to your home decor – a primitive decor shelf sitter. Come along as I create this to add to my primitive decor living room. This adorable piece is perfect for sprucing up any shelf or mantle and is super simple to make, especially with the help of a Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine.

First things first, gather your materials. You'll need:

  1. Wood/blackboard house piece from Dollar Tree

  2. Vinyl in your desired color

  3. SVG file

  4. Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine

  5. Transfer tape

  6. Optional: Paint, sandpaper, or other embellishments for added character

Once you've got everything together, it's time to get crafting! First - you'll need an SVG file. I've created 2 for you -- grab them on my Freebies page.

Then -- head over to my YouTube channel to see how it is all put together.

If you're new to using a Cricut and need some help with the file, or cutting it -- please feel free to drop me a note to help! In the video - i do not show how to cut it -- we pick up with the weeding and adding it to the project.

And that's it – you've created your very own primitive decor shelf sitter! Whether you're decorating for the holidays, sprucing up a nursery, or just adding a touch of charm to your living space, this project is sure to delight.

So, grab your cutting machine and let's get crafting! Don't forget to share your creations with me on social media – I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Happy crafting!
